Job Title: Service Writer Assistant/Parts Manager

Location: Automotive Repair Shop

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our team as a Service Writer Assistant/Parts Manager. You will be working in a dynamic environment at our Automotive Repair Shop, where each day offers new opportunities to enhance your skills while supporting our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Service Writer in managing repair orders and communicating with customers about their service needs and the progress of their repairs.

2. Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule.

3. Partner with technicians to determine parts needed for service repairs and ensure parts are available for scheduled service.

4. Manage the department's parts inventory, maintain organized shelves, and take stock of all parts and equipment.

5. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to order parts, manage deliveries, and handle returns and warranties. We will train the right individual in these tasks.

6. Prepare and maintain detailed records of parts received, repairs completed, and parts expenses.

7. Assist in the training of new staff members and foster a positive, productive work environment.

8. Keep up-to-date with industry-wide changes in technology, materials, and methods.

9. Comply with all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is a plus.

2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an automotive service and repair environment.

3. Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

4. Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems will be beneficial.

5. Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
